Autism is as common in Pakistan as it is elsewhere in the world. Most children with autism remain undiagnosed due to lack of awareness and expertise in diagnosis. The parents often suffer silently and perhaps more unfortunate are the affected children who have to bear the brunt of being sick as well as being mishandled.
The past few years of ASP are a relentless story of team work by a core group of dedicated, hardworking and fully committed individuals. With the help of Allah Almighty we are collectively looking after over hundred children with autism at our centres. We have employed and trained a core group of qualified therapists including special educationists, ABA therapists, speech therapists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. ARC provides wide range of services including initial assessment, intervention comprising behavior modification therapy and applied behavior analysis.
ASP is providing substantial fee subsidy to over 50% of the children under our care. I am grateful to all those who are providing us continuous financial support. Currently we are in the process of acquiring our own building for permanent atay.
