A Public Initiative
Autism Society of Pakistan ("ASP") has been established as a non-profit entity as a national umbrella organization with a focused mandate for advocacy, fund raising, training, research, and for generally creating awareness about Autism in Pakistan. It has successfully set up the Autism Resource Centre in Rawalpindi, which has recently completed three fruitful years. ASP aims to replicate such centres all over Pakistan, and hopefully establish a National Autism Centre. A dedicated group of people (primarily affected parents) in Pakistan and abroad have formed a focus group to take this public initiative forward.
