Autism is a behavior disorder which is not fully understood by most of the people in this country. The pain and anguish experienced by families having members suffering from autism is further accentuated by the minimal available facilities to cater for such disorders. Coupled with this lack of awareness, its treatment is cost intensive because one to one teacher/student ratio as well as highly qualified therapists are required to teach affected children to become useful members of the society.
In order to create awareness amongst the populace and to carry out early intervention for the treatment of children suffering from Autism, a group of dedicated volunteers and professionals have teamed up to alleviate this growing menace. It is not only important to treat such children to get them back into the mainstream so that they do not become a burden on society, but their parents also require guidance to handle them at home. It with this mission in mind that Autism Society of Pakistan (ASP) is striving to extend this facility to maximum possible affected families. Since the poor segment of our society cannot afford this expensive treatment, ASP grants subsidies to deserving families, for which maximum possible donations and help is required.
May Allah Bless you all.
