Maj Gen Waqar Ahmad Kingravi (R), HI (M)

Maj Gen (Retd) Waqar Ahmad Kingravi was commissioned into the Punjab Regiment in 1974.He joined Pakistan Army Aviation Corps in 1978. He is qualified on Fixed Wing as well as Rotary Wing aircraft. He was one of the pioneers who established Army Aviation Combat Group and flew armed Cobra helicopters extensively. He is a Qualified Helicopter Instructor. He also served as a Company Commander at the prestigious Pakistan Military Academy. He has the degree of MSc War Studies from National Defense University. The pinnacle of his career was command of Pakistan Army Aviation Corps during 2007 and 2008, once high intensity security operations against militants were being carried out. After serving on various command, staff and instructional appointments, he retired in 2012. He has been actively supporting the establishment and development of Autism Society of Pakistan right from the conceptual stage. He has vast experience of management and a keen interest in actively working for social uplift causes.
